Pardon the Disruption

June 21, 2017Sheila Knipp-RatliffBlogNo Comments

Cloud Computing may be the most disruptive technology we will see in our lifetime.  It has not changed just one industry, it has changed the way every industry does business.  The tech industry is using the Cloud to make great advancements.  Other industries are welcoming these new technologies to allow them to expand and grow their business in ways they had never dreamed possible.

Usually, technological advances begin in industries and individuals are forced to learn and keep up with the new way of doing things.  The Cloud went about things a bit differently.  Individuals began using Cloud-based applications on their phones and embraced the ease of use and the new possibilities.  Socializing, shopping, making appointments, and much more is now done by the touch of a button.  The tech savvy public is now demanding that everything be made this simple.  Businesses must cater to this public demand and incorporate the Cloud, and it’s many possiblilites, into their business model.

Businesses can no longer compete without the addition of these disruptive technologies.  Moving your business to the Cloud will not only keep you competitive, but open you up to new markets.  The Cloud allows a small, rural business to have a presence all over the world.  With the help of an experienced Cloud Service Provider, an SMB can use and provide its customers with an amount of compute power they never could have previously afforded.

This change may seem abrupt, but the time to act is now.  Businesses simply cannot survive without a Cloud presence.  The public shows no intention in returning to the old way of doing things and if you want their business, you must take it to the Cloud.
